The Office of Major Infrastructure (OMID) delivers some of Western Australia’s most exciting sport and recreation infrastructure, working closely with the Department of Creative Industries, Tourism and Sport to create high-performance venues, revitalised community facilities and precincts that inspire active, healthy and connected communities.

From elite training centres to upgraded multi-sport hubs and vibrant community spaces, our sport projects are designed to deliver facilities and venues that support athletes, strengthen local clubs and deliver long-lasting benefits for people across the State.

OMID’s sport and recreation projects form part of a wider State investment to expand sporting infrastructure and provide high-quality facilities for both elite athletes and grassroots participants. These projects are designed to future-proof community access, strengthen development pathways and ensure Western Australians can enjoy modern, connected and accessible sport and recreation environments for decades to come.
