The Office of Major Infrastructure Delivery (OMID) delivers some of Western Australia’s largest and most complex metropolitan health infrastructure projects, working closely with the Department of Health and health service providers.

This program strengthens the State’s capacity to provide modern, high-quality healthcare by delivering facilities that support growing demand and improve patient access across Perth’s major hospital precincts.

Current metropolitan projects include a new Women and Babies Hospital at the Fiona Stanley Hospital precinct, as well as expanded services for women and babies at Osborne Park Hospital and Perth Children’s Hospital.

We are also delivering major developments at Royal Perth Hospital, including a new emergency department, and constructing a new hospital in Mandurah. These new facilities are designed to expand clinical capacity, modernise ageing infrastructure and ensure Western Australians can receive safe, contemporary health care close to home.

Other upcoming metropolitan health infrastructure projects include the new Graylands Campus (including the Claremont Therapeutic Riding Centre), a new surgicentre at Bentley Health Service, the expansion of the St John of God Midland Public Hospital and the development of a new cancer centre for Western Australia. We will share updates here as soon as more details on these upcoming projects are available.
