A significant construction milestone has been achieved at the New Tom Price Hospital site with completion of the levee wall that plays a critical role in preparing and protecting the site ahead of main hospital construction.
Designed to respond to local flood and environmental conditions, the levee wall strengthens the site’s climate resilience.
Completion of the wall builds on the steady progress made on forward works, a critical early stage of the hospital redevelopment. The project is well placed to move into the next phase of construction.
On completion, the New Tom Price Hospital will include:
- a modern emergency department
- contemporary primary care facilities, private interview and consult rooms
- four-bed inpatient ward
- dental and pathology services.
