Work is underway on the foundations for the New Mandurah Hospital – a major milestone for health infrastructure in the Peel region.
Over the coming months, around 450 piled foundations will be drilled 22 metres into the ground, creating the strong, stable base needed to support a modern, multi-storey hospital.
Once complete, the New Mandurah Hospital will deliver increased capacity and a broader range of health services including:
- an expanded emergency department
- a dedicated mental health emergency centre
- mental health inpatient facilities
- chemotherapy and renal services
- expanded perioperative services
- birthing and women’s health facilities
- palliative care services.
